From the initial conversation to resting with the needles, the first visit is highly individualised.
Why are there so many questions before treatment?
Bring a medication list and useful reports. Consent applies at every stage.
A detailed conversation
The practitioner explores the main concern and its history, then may ask about sleep, appetite, digestion, cycles, energy, medication and recent changes. These questions create context; they do not imply that every symptom has one cause.
Observation and point selection
Depending on training, the practitioner may observe the tongue, take the pulse and examine relevant areas. The proposed position and points should be explained. You may decline any point, request an adjustment or stop at any time.
After the session
Some people feel relaxed, tired or unchanged. Note meaningful developments without interpreting every sensation. The next appointment should reassess what happened rather than follow a predetermined script.
